  1. Well, looks like Monstarcat is completely removing any and all mention of that Twitch affiliate fast track.
  2. This is something very cool for any iOS users that allows you to set up widgets to place on your homescreen to alert you to your favorite streamers being online and any upcoming streams. I know Android has had widgets for many years and it's been quite awhile since I've dabbled there but, I'm not sure if Twitch has the capabilities for something similar on Android.
  3. MonstecCat recently sent out a tweet stating that Twitch and MonsterCat partnering up in that people can sign up to Monster Cat Gold and get a fast track to Twitch affiliate. This of course chummed the waters of streamer Twitter. Many came out against this, claiming to be pushing affiliate status even more as a useless metric. Others posted that this didn't change anything as if you relied on this, you probably not going to get much if anything with monetization.
  4. Quarantine got you down? Especially with the coming holidays. We take a look into some of the board games and table top games that can help you combat the bored family. Google Stadia

Just received the Premium Google Stadia that we're going to be playing and going over for the next couple weeks. Yes, we know it's been on the market for awhile now but, that doesn't mean we can still see how it works and how it fits within a typical family setting. Do you have anything we should look into? Maybe a game you would like us to play on Stadia?
  6. Been dealing with things in regards to streaming, from wanting to stream for myself and whomever decides to appear in chat. To not wanting to in facing that wall of 0 viewers and a deader than dead chat. I've been trying many things in which all have been less than stellar results or none at all. Coming to a realization in that maybe streaming isn't for me but I want to continue on because I actually do enjoy it. I know I'll never be the biggest and I really do hope in that one day I can build a community of like minded people sharing family friendly ideas, content and streams. It's just that
  7. Probably seen the alerts pop off this morning about a new battle royale game coming out sometime late next year based around the Vampire: The Masquerade universe. Not sure in that we need or actively asked for another BR game let alone one based on the rich lore of VtM.
  8. Can always change the colors which I'm planning on doing. They're both good themes lol
  9. In looking to add some fun flair and to spruce things up a little more around here, we're looking into some styles that might help do that. These are the two that I've been looking at and would really love your input. In the comments let me know which one you like. 1. 2.
  10. With lockdowns still taking place and many of the population not adhering to basic mask wearing or social distancing the movie theater industry is really feeling the effects of the economic downturn. Already Regal Cinemas has announced that they're going to be shutting down all of their theaters until some time in the future. https://www.npr.org/sections/coronavirus-live-updates/2020/10/05/920367787/regal-movie-chain-will-close-all-536-u-s-theaters-on-thursday AMC is still keeping their theaters open with reduced seating while the market has shown there is no large scale major film r
  11. You might've seen the Streamlabs live streaming industry report earlier this month. The interesting chart showing Twitch's continued growth in the number of streamers is astounding. To see that there are over 10 million streamers on the platform is very impressive. The downside to all of this is that the number of CCV (concurrent viewership) has actually dipped from 2.3 million in Q2 2020 to 2.1 million in Q3 2020. Imagine if you will, you're a streamer who is wanting to jump into the wonderful world of live streaming and see these numbers. Would you be discouraged? Maybe emboldened that you c
  12. What are your thoughts in regards to ads on your streaming platform of choice? Let's take a look at Twitch as the majority of people stream and view on the platform there. Currently you receive a 15-30 second pre-roll ad before the stream shows up. Twitch offers streamers that are at affiliate or partner levels the ability to run ads during their live stream in order to bank minutes to stop pre-roll ads from running. This past month Twitch started to run a test of forced mid-roll ads during a live stream. This of course brought up many people against this. Twitch is in a difficult positi
  13. Wanted to work on this some more but I think the time is now in releasing this news. Schrodember is a cat, one that alive and dead at the same time. He's been augmented to be able to fully interact with the games that he plays. Given to him as experiments by his human companion. From now until the heat death of the universe Schrodember continues the family friendly atmosphere so bring your kids, your grandma and the family for some fun times.
  14. Wanting to see what everyone who has an iOS device has setup there homescreens now that iOS 14 is out allowing us the use of widgets. It's been too long in the making since we can now customize our screens.
  15. So, what do you all think about the website? Is there something that we're missing? A little splash of color or maybe a darker theme? Let me know.
  16. If you're a streamer over on Twitch, do you feel that you are part of the greater community or even wanted on the platform? We've seen how actions on Twitch's part show that streamers are not as important to the greater good. Yes, we know that ads are an important part of a streaming platform and you might be thinking that they do care. They don't, never have and never will. For the hundreds and thousands of streamers that are on Twitch streaming to 0 viewers are actually costing Twitch tons of money. Twitch wants only the top 1% on their platform as they bring in a large audience that they ca
  17. Woke up this morning and opened up Twitter where the big news was right there. Microsoft brought Bethesda into the fold. The massive amount of money for Microsoft, about $7.5 billion. That's right, more than what they paid to get Mojang, more than Disney bought Lucasarts. That's a lot of money and they've added a lot of games that carry a lot of audience potential and offers fans something that they can breath a somewhat sigh of relief.

Hard hat tester, Ray, has a bizarre accident and wakes up with a giant pink spaghetti arm sticking out of his brain! With his awesome new powers he can read minds and change the world with stickers but he’s on the run for a crime he didn’t commit.
  19. With the leaks or even release of what the new Xbox pricing will be, what do you think Microsoft's push is for? Personally I think they could sell these new units at a lower price point and even more so with the Series S being only $299 and being completely disc free. They can push more people towards the Gamepass and Xcloud as the big money maker here. Seriously, you can get the Series S for $25 a month, buy gamepass ultimate for $15 a month and be able to have access to Xcloud and every single game available without spending $60-70 per game. It really comes out cheaper in the long run.
  20. Most of the lockdowns have been lifted, the birds are singing and people are braving the sunlight again. No, this isn't the beginning of some dystopian story just how real people are looking towards Hollywood to entertain them again. We discuss how potentially Hollywood is going to move forward with COVID-19 still out there. We also go over the recent Apple vs Epic battle that is still ongoing and even take a stab at Facebook and the news of Oculus the brand is going away.
  21. Trovo announced today the start of their Streamer Growth Program. This program will give streamers ways to track their metrics in how they're doing as they stream to the platform and what their level is as the progress up. source* - https://www.reddit.com/r/Trovo/wiki/index/faq/streaming_faq/streamer_growth It's interesting to see how this new platform is moving things along at a pretty fast pace. For a lot of us who remembers Mixer's announcement that they would be doing a streamer progression system and almost a year later, nothing was said again about it. Of course that's al
